Hate Symbols

Since the swastika is a easily identifiable hate symbol when it comes to politics, many groups and organizations use lesser known nazi symbols and ancient runes to hide their true intentions.
This video helps clear some of the many unknown symbols many Far-Right groups use.

The Punisher

Originally the logo was created and meant for the marvel hero “The Punisher,” but has since then been hijacked by Conservative Militias, Q-Anon Fascists, Blue Lives Matter, MAGA-extremists, and Neo-Nazi extremists.

III% Militia Logo

Three-Percenters are a north-American far-right antigovernment extremist militia that believes the federal government abuses its power and must be eradicated. Three-Percenters were also seen at the Capitol during the January 6th insurrection and since have been taking fire from the FBI.

Celtic Cross

While in most cases this symbol has non-extremist intentions in a church or culturally appropriate setting, this version of the cross is explicitly used by white supremacists, white nationalists, and neo-nazis. Usually on a T-shirt, this symbol is accompanied with the phrase “White Pride - World Wide.”

Patriot Front

Patriot Front is a fringe group of neo-fascists, white supremacists, and xenophobic ultra-nationalists. Recently this group had gotten attention for destroying and vandalizing black lives matter murals and art pieces along with having flash rallies to produce the notion they are unopposed.

Proud Boys

PB or Proud Boys is a north-American far-right fight club that believes the “western” world is under siege. Many conservative groups work with them and are known to attack people of color, attack anti-fascists, and anti-racists. Proud Boys were also seen at the Capitol during the January 6th insurrection and since have been taking fire from the FBI. Recently, the Canadian government designated the PB as a terrorist group, and has since been disbanded there.

Gadsden Flag

While it used to have historical intent, this flag has been co-opted since the Tea Party movement as a right-wing and far-right flag to oppose “tyranny” and “government overreach” which is also a hypocritical stance since most of the people who wave these flags for political purposes supports the government silencing left-wing activism and rewriting history books along with banning CRT.

Wolfsangel

The wolfsangel is a runic symbol that was used in Germany in several eras, however, since the Nazis’ adoption of the symbol for military divisions, it has since become a dog-whistle for white supremacist and anti-communist groups such as Ukraine’s “Azov Battalion” and “Patriot of Ukraine” which is behind mass anti-Romani, anti-Russian, and anti-black rhetoric hate speech and practices.

Anti-Anti-Fascist

As the title suggests, anti-anti-fascists are just simply fascists or sympathizers of authoritarian nationalist regimes or practices.

Anti-Communist

Anti-Communists are typically seen as conservatives, right-wing militants, and fascists. This particular symbol is seen as a patch on vests.

Blood Tribe

The Blood Tribe is a growing neo-Nazi group with chapters across the United States and Canada, founded and led by Christopher Pohlhaus, also known as Hammer. They see themselves as the last bastion of the white race and advocate for a white ethnostate. Since 2021, they have been increasingly active, holding anti-LGBTQ+ demonstrations.

Goyim Defense League

The Goyim Defense League is a Far-Right extremist online movement known for spreading anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and propaganda. Its members often use social media platforms to disseminate hateful content targeting Jewish individuals and institutions, as well as promoting various conspiracy theories about Jewish people.

National Bolshevism

National Bolshevism or NazBol Ideology is a Far-right group made to falsely align communists as fascists. It takes soviet symbols and rebrands them as imperialist and ultranationalist. NazBols hold a lot of the same beliefs as ethnic ultranationalists and Neo-Nazis with a slightly different symbol to try and ally with leftists.

Black Sun

Used by the Nazis and featured prominently in SS regalia, the Black Sun is often used by extremist groups to evoke Nazi ideology and is seen as a symbol of hate and intolerance, leading to widespread condemnation for its association with Nazi symbolism, such as in the Buffalo mass shooting, and Ukraine’s Azov Battalion.

Odal Rune

The Odal rune has been associated with Nazi connotations due to its historical use by the Nazis in their symbolism. The Odal rune, resembling the letter "O" with two vertical lines, was adopted by the Nazis to symbolize the notion of "Blood and Soil," reflecting their extreme nationalism and racial purity ideology. Today, its use or display is often seen as a sign of adherence to far-right or white supremacist ideologies, and it is frequently condemned for its historical connection to Nazi symbolism.
